WGH Class of 1968: We are Panthers
DEAR EDITOR:
May 1, 2025, was a Memorial Day for the Warren G Harding Panthers. We unveiled our tribute to the Warren G Harding Panthers Class of 68. The sun had shone upon us in between the rainstorms. This is a tribute to the Class of ’68, as our class had gone through so many changes during our high school years.
I was working after school during my high school years, so I didn’t get to participate in many school functions. Some of my teachers knew that I was working after school and were very helpful with the time I needed to complete some of my projects. I had a term paper to do, and my handwriting was so bad even to this day, that I asked a girl in my homeroom if she would type it for me. She was “My Girl Friday,” and I got an “A” on the paper.
I wanted to thank Warren Marble for their patience in helping us to come to a final decision on how the stone would look. I also want to thank Bob Coupland from the Tribune Chronicle for his excellent write-up with all the news that was being made that day. Bob made our memorial just as important, and not a side note. Thank you.
PAUL YANNUCCI
