We are writing to express support for John Brown’s candidacy to remain Warren City Council president. John has been a tireless advocate for our neighborhoods, and his leadership over the past decade has made a tangible, lasting impact on the quality of life in our city. There has been a concerted effort to clean the city up by removing vacant, abandoned houses and through his time on council, John has been a key facilitator of this work.

John understands how vacant and deteriorated properties not only affect neighborhood aesthetics, but also erode community confidence, property values, and public safety. He has worked collaboratively with residents, city officials and local organizations to identify problem properties and bring real solutions — whether that meant securing funding for demolitions, advocating for code enforcement improvements, or helping to repurpose vacant lots into community assets.

With Warren now poised to see significant reinvestment through several large projects, Warren needs a council president who understands the deep connection between safe, healthy neighborhoods and the city’s overall success. We urge you to support John Brown for Warren City Council president. Our city will be better for it.
