Let's face it. This entire administration is a joke, from our thin-skinned lying president to his lackeys. While I know that SCOTUS has granted a certain amount of immunity in actions by Trump, anything he does should ONLY pertain to his position as president. All of these personal attacks against Lord knows how many 'perceived slights or people' should not be allowed. When is SCOTUS going to finally do something? Anything at all.

Why hasn't Tina Milner, 2nd Ward city candidate, told us about her Ohio Board of Elections May 8 hearing when the Board will consider a complaint against her? She is accused of breaking seven sections of the Ohio Revised Code relating to finances with her group "Warren Deserves Better" and her effort to force charter government on Warren. Voters rejected this. Why has Milner kept this hidden? What other skeletons lurk in her closet? Warren deserves better than Tina Milner.

Tina Milner, 2nd Ward Council candidate, lied to this newspaper at her recent fund-raising event. She admitted owing an outstanding city debt of $5,000+. The facts: She got a 2005 city loan for $15,000, paid back $9,000 and quit paying. In 2023, the city sued for the balance + interest. She then signed an agreement to pay back $21,469.07. If elected, will she have her wages garnished? More skeletons lurking in her closet? Warren deserves better.

How come when UPS lays off 20,000 employees and shuts down 79 locations, all is quiet from the demonstrators, but when USPS wants to lay off for the same reasons, thousands protest the world is coming to an end, disaster awaits, etc. Why is it government employees are the sacred cows that can't be touched?

It is ironic to see that the Warren leadership is taking such an active interest in Arbor Day. It was just a few years ago that a current city official ordered many old, historical, and still healthy trees be taken down behind the Women's Park. Although new saplings were planted, those trees can never be replaced.

With the first 100 days of this Presidency approaching, NO ONE has done more to hurt America than the Trump supporter. They should have researched "PROJECT 2025" before electing this "Snake Oil Salesman."

Warren parents and youth violence. Happy to see the news today addressing youth violence. Too often this is portrayed as "gun" violence, putting the blame in the wrong place. While guns are a big part they are only one tool in this tendency to revert to violent and deadly actions by young folks today.

I had to go downtown Warren to take care of some legal issues and was disgusted by all the trash laying around, not to mention the trash cans that were overflowing. Doesn't the county have workers that should be emptying the cans on a regular basis? I asked an office worker about it and she said it's been like that for months. Unacceptable! It's unsightly and poses a health risk. Get it cleaned up, Trumbull County!

Although Mercy Health's plan to build a state-of-the-art emergency facility in Champion is wonderful, the bottom line still exists: Trumbull County needs a hospital! St. Joe's staff is overwhelmed; its emergency room is bursting at the proverbial seams; physicians are looking elsewhere; medical school graduates won't even give this area a second look. Somehow, the powers-that-be must come up with a solution before people die in this medical desert. We need help!

Thank goodness our leader finally realized his policies were flawed and he reversed direction on almost everything. It was frightening to watch our great country lose its shining-city-on-a-hill reputation for three months, but it looks like the errors have been recognized and we are heading back toward greatness. Let's hope it sticks so our business leaders can plan, allies can trust us again and our reputation as the greatest country in history can be restored.

Can anyone explain why a hospital needs to get an OK from the government to build a facility that has been needed for years in this area. They were needed even before the closing and disruption at Sharon and Trumbull hospitals. Does Walmart need to ask when a need is found?

So let me understand this correctly. Girard is upset that Judge Adler is raising court costs and they will no longer be able to live off of Liberty and Vienna townships to supplement their court. Just another example of a city living off of the townships' monies. Do you understand why the townships dislike the cities and villages? They can't support themselves, so they steal from the townships.

Economists from across the spectrum say economist Stephen Moore doesn't know his butt from his elbow about fiscal policy. He was an ardent supporter of Kansas Gov. Brownback's disastrous supply-side tax cuts. He was a deadbeat who owed $330,000 to his ex-wife. He also owed $75,000 to the IRS. The editor of the Kansas City Star banned him from the newspaper after she discovered factual errors in his columns. Sadly, the Warren Tribune has no problem publishing his column.

Yes, the murder of Rachel Morin is heartbreaking. Any murder is. In 2024, there were about 18,621 murders in the US, or about two per hour. That's after three years of decreases during the Biden administration. Even at the lower rate, of those 18,621 murders, 29 were by illegal immigrants. That represents less than two-tenths of 1% of the total. Unfortunately, that tiny percent is being used to push a political agenda. What about the rest of them?

I disagree with the Onion concerning Sen. Moreno's language describing Sen. Schumer as "Furher." Schumer supports college protests threatening Jewish students and disagrees on withholding federal funds to these universities. Also he voted to hold back arms to Israel. The late Sen. Lieberman would be disgusted as all Jews throughout the world should be. A Jew would not do this, an antisemite would.

Sarah Huckabee Sanders and Tom Cotton need some disaster relief. Trump says no relief for them. Too bad Biden gave her 100% of the marked-up cost for disasters. Oh wow, those small business owners and capitalists in Arkansas should've had free-market insurance for those businesses. This is about bootstraps and leopards, lots and lots of leopards now, Sarah. Now we pay for weekend golf outings. Next is red states to pay higher taxes. Pull yourself up from your boots strap, Sarah.

Now that the Democrats' sales pitches miserably failed in the election: Open borders, pretending to fight for DEI, fringe LGBTQXYZ minorities, trannies, etc., they have lost their base. They now care more about illegal aliens, MS-13, wife beaters and human smugglers over state lines more than they care about AMERICANS! They care more about socialism than democracy! They care about NOTHING but staying in power, rather than doing what should be done for America. The party IS dead. Good riddance!
