DEAR EDITOR:

Everyone ought to know by now how evil Trump and Republicans have become. Due process applies to everyone, citizen or not. People who are immigrants here do not have the rights to certain things like Social Security or voting. They do have the rights, though, of many things in the Constitution like free speech and due process. Anyone can criticize the government & should never have to be submitted to arrest or deportation for doing so.

The Trump administration and Secretary of State Rubio are lying about many of those they have picked up and made disappear already without due process. The attacks on students and universities is just a small part of the evil and it will get worse. The “Trump” owns this DOJ. It is not working for the people of the country, it is working for the dictator wannabe.

The attorney general won’t even investigate the latest obvious security breach by the Cabinet “Signal app” scandal. All the destruction that has happen to our country in just two months is unprecedented, which is normal now because of Trump.

We have lost our most basic allies to Trump’s war on the free world and our own freedoms. Yet people still support him even as he falls slowly in the polls. Russia is now Trump’s best friend and ally, making Russia our country’s best friend and ally. There is no turning back with Trump or Republicans now. This hand has everyone all in, it is us, the real patriots left in this country who know better, against Trump and Republicans. If we make it to the midterms that will be the deciding factor. We must flip both House and Senate to stop Trump, or at least one of them.

One precedent I would love to see is the house flip within the first four months of a new president’s term. Special elections can do that act. Trump and other Republicans are scared that will happen. It is why Trump withdrew his nomination for the U.N. ambassador. She has a House seat and that means a special election to fill it. Trump knows he can lose it as Republicans have lost several special elections since the election. People are now “waking” up and earning that “woke” is not what they thought it was; woke is good.

Woke means you care about Social Security, the poor, what crappy health care we do have and our allies around the world. Ohio has a long way to go, especially our own Mahoning Valley. The flip here to Republican has been a disgrace to our history and the reality we are living in now. It is about values, right and wrong. What are yours?
