As I read Sound Off last week, again the newspaper ran mostly anti-Trump letters, I couldn't help to notice how hateful the anti Trump people were. I have never seen how one man could occupy a person's whole life. These writers sound so unhappy. I didn't agree with anything Biden did but it didn't affect my whole being. I can't imagine how bad my life would be acting like these people. It would be laughable if it wasn't so sad. The other sad thing is most of what they say is just radical left talking points that are proven to be untrue. Just live your life and try to be happy.

I grew up going to Sunday school every week, sometimes not willingly. I chose to take my children to Sunday school and church so that they would know about God and the Bible. My children are the people they are because of that, just as I am. Raising children without religion is not allowing them to choose for themselves. Take them to a different church, temple, mosque every week, that will allow them to choose. Just give them faith in God.

"He who saves his country does not violate any law", posted by Trump. He is absolutely wrong. Our nation has a constitution and there are rules of law. He is not above them. If you think what he is doing right now is for the good of our country, you are wrong. He will not be fulfilling any promises; no lower food prices, inflation will stay, and civil rights are out the door. Project 2025 will rule.

I hardly post anything on Facebook because as a non-woke citizen of this country, I'm not allowed to express an opinion. I want America to reduce their debt, have no hidden money (pork) in bills that Congress passes, and protect their borders. I want people to be accepted for who they are. I want everyone to have the opportunity to be trained for a job with a living wage. I want tolerance and acceptance for different opinions.

I see Mayor Brown on the local news telling everyone to come downtown to the restaurants and businesses to support them.Well my wife and I went for lunch at Avalon this week and when we got back to our car there was a flyer stating that the one hour parking outside of Avalon is going to be enforced with fines and towing cars away. How does the mayor expect people to come downtown if they can't park for more than one hour when they go to eat. I guess you have to chow down your food as fast as you can so you don't get a ticket. We'll go to Boardman or Howland next time.

Gov. DeWine has now extended the "unofficial Ohio execution moratorium" to be in effect until after his term of office. How convenient! His reason is that the state is unable "to secure the drugs used in lethal injections due to pharmaceutical suppliers' unwillingness." So how do other states find these drugs? Why can't Ohio buy the necessary drugs from other states? Perhaps DeWine's personal beliefs are interfering with his official duties.

I appreciate that DOGE is busy ridding our government of the ridiculous fraud and waste of American taxpayer's money. These are monies that have been funneled to organizations that for the most part do not have this country's best interest at heart. Sadly, many have hitched their wagon to the wrong DEI horse and are now without well-paying employment. My only wish is for Musk to put on a suit when he is with our President in the Oval Office. Show some respect, please.

Tax dollars, $1.4 million is being used to redo the board offices on North Road! Yet the students are in a building(school) that is not handicapped accessible. Those in wheelchairs cannot fit in preschool bathrooms, nor can any one wheel up and use a sink to wash hands. I've been in the gym and the stage cannot come out to hold programs because it has been broke many years! Play ground for older students gone! No music, no daily living skill home ec) to help in teaching life skills. Wonderful school, but such wasted money. Again new everything for board office, nothing for students, they need an updated school immediately! Staff can only do so much in these outdated rooms!

With just about every city and some townships having a park or two, and a number of state parks within 15 minutes of anywhere in the county, do we really need more metro parks? After the park maintenance levy failed, instead of cutting back, the park purchased more land they couldn't maintain. Also, why did the board purchase the dam if they had no plans for maintaining it? The commissioners should be questioning the park board.

Trump and Musk keep saying that they are dismantling our government because it is the will of the people. That sounds good, but it's not true. Twenty percent of US adults are not even registered to vote. Of the people registered, a third of them did not vote in this election. Statistics are tricky, but that means for every 100 U.S. adults, 20% are not registered, 27% did not vote, 26% voted for Kamala and 27% voted for Trump. Hardly a mandate! Make a plan to vote.

Lowellville dam removed. Crickets. Struthers dam removed. Crickets. Summit Street dam removed. Crickets. Leavittsburg dam to be removed. Ecological armageddon, endangered species threatened, economic disaster, lawsuits, defund MetroParks. Hmmmm, makes you wonder.

I guess my first Sound Off is wrong, when I said peace could be had by Russia going home. Trump nows says Zelenskyy should have never started the war with Russia. Gee, I really thought Russia was going for more land. My bad. What the heck!

WOW, the nowhere-to-be-found Pete Buttigieg has emerged from the closet he's been in the past four years! Why? To criticize the small cuts made to the FAA. Hey Petey, the plane crash was in Canada. Do America a favor and go back in hiding!

Now that trillions in fraud is being uncovered by DOGE, perhaps it is time to right the fraud committed by Barack Obama during the 2008 auto bailout (aka union bailout)! While millions of union pensions were topped up for votes, Obama cast aside 20,000 pensions of the Delphi salaried, which today are FULLY funded sitting in the PBGC. It's time to undo this fraud and restore ALL the pensions, not just some!

Nobody voted for Harris, but there she was on the ballot. Nobody votes for Cabinet appointees, but there they are performing tasks at the direction of the elected president. No executive would be denied access to look at where the money is going, and where questionable expenditures can be stopped. We elect a president to oversee operations of all of government. Deal with it!

Any state considering suing or other legal action against DOGE should take notice of polls showing a large majority of voters approve of DOGE. With the recent findings in Social Security paying out monthly to 16,131,823 people age 110 and older, the quickest way to have voters turn away from you is to mess with their money. In the U.S., only 60 people are known to be 110 or older. GOD bless President Trump.

Maybe we should inject bleach into the birds that are spreading the bird flu virus. Or, maybe we should just fire the people who are researching and reporting their findings about the virus.

Waste, fraud and abuse of taxpayer funds to the point of reported 8000% overcharges by suppliers, billions of dollars sent around the world on foolish and questionable causes. Left wingers who have drunk the Kool Aid, wake up. Cutting the waste in government saves all taxpayers money. This is our hard-earned money to spend, not bureaucrats to enrich themselves.

Mr. Trump, when you refer to "bad" school teachers, does that mean you want to eliminate those teachers who lie, belittle, cheat, steal, bully, swindle, defame, molest, grift, threaten and touch inappropriately? Kinda like you do, right? OK, got it! Thanks for clearing that up.
