Americans' hopes have been restored by their overwhelming choice of Trump and rejection of the flailing Democratic party's lies. Here's some advice for the Left Loonies, such as Shumer, the View, late night shows, and mainstream media. Keep spewing your lies without substance, and the rest of America will turn Republican by 2028 as We The People solidify the beliefs of our Country, and elect our next Republican President!

Yes, there is a difference between the Pardons. The Jan. 6 House Select committee investigated the Trump instigated insurrection. More than 1,500 were charged and 460 imprisoned for their attack on the Capitol. The police suffered 140 injuries. Trump bragged about retribution against committee members. Biden's pardons were to protect the committee members who were doing their job, from Trump's retribution. Meanwhile, Trump's pardons were for the 1,500 who broke the law. It was not a peaceful protest. No comparison.

Replying to people submitting comments on Warren City Council, do you always have to be hateful? I say Thank You to Gary Steinbeck who gave the majority of his ARP money, about $300,000, to Warren Police and Fire to protect our city and to Greg Greathouse who with other council members personally drove around neighborhoods at night to list and report street lights that were out, to put pressure on authorities to fix that issue, and the list goes on.

Very happy to see the commissioners and office/stakeholders sitting together doing a line by line process together. This is the way things should be. Those elected taking the money available and DECIDING how to spend it. Please do NOT start using separate levies for each department like Mahoning and some townships. That is a sneaky way to not have to make decisions one is elected to make!

Mariann Edgar Budde, an episcopal bishop, gave a sermon asking Trump to have mercy on the people he is attacking. He, of course, came back with all insults, nasty words and calling for an apology from her, which is almost laughable except it is his way to attack. Wouldn't it be nice if more of our Catholic priests would do the same, especially since Pope Francis is trying to help so many?

It surely pays to be a criminal in Trump world, starting with himself and many named to the administration, many in key positions, some who were headed to incarceration and others just released in time to work for us. It surely paid off for the insurrectionists who have now been freed with the click of a pen, even though their acts were clearly criminal. Once again, Trump makes fun of law and order, right and wrong.

On Jan. 21, 2025, no one on my street (NE Warren) received mail. On Monday, Jan. 27, mail was not delivered until after 5:30 p.m. It is now 6:24 p.m. on Jan. 29, and the mail has still not been delivered. What is the problem? If a truck has broken down, fix it. If someone is incompetent, fire him. If more employees are needed, hire people. This is ridiculous.

Are there any statistics available that compare number of accidents before and after lights have been removed at various intersections? It seems as though a week doesn't go by when there isn't an accident at the corner of Woodland and Genesee. Perhaps City Council members could begin earning that gigantic salary increase by checking into comparative stats and then returning lights to intersections where accidents have increased.

Trump is running amok, violating federal laws, breaking rules, and no one is stopping him or even questioning him. He didn't even have his hand on the bible for his oath of office. We, the people, will suffer, our cities will suffer, our planet and infrastructure are at great risk, and his disregard of all humanity and birthright is fueling his need in his quest for dictatorship. He is a tyrant with no absolute scruples.

A recent letter detailed failures of the Hubbard post office. Girard is no better. Our mail is often very very late. Some days it doesn't come at all. (We look at informed delivery, so we know we are supposed to get mail.) We've gotten other people's mail numerous times. We know there are some things sent to us we've never gotten. Our mail service is just unreliable.

Knowing Trump is a proven liar, it is incredibly sad that people either really don't care what he says, or others insist on what he says is the truth. What you should really understand is that he is not a scientist, epidemiologist, biologist, or environmentalist, yet will be making decisions that will affect us for life. He is a huckster, craves power and adoration, and has pulled the greatest con that we may have to endure.

Once upon a time, in the glory days of the United States, there was no such thing as a DEI program (diversity, equality, inclusion). People were hired on the basis of merit and work ethic, which made for a far better work force and country. A business should not have to hire someone because of his/her race, ethnicity, or gender. Kudos to President Trump for trying to restore honor to the US.
