DEAR EDITOR:

As we at Insight Hospital and Medical Center Trumbull and Insight Rehabilitation Hospital Hillside welcome in 2025, we do so with enthusiasm toward a brighter future and gratitude for all those that have helped us get to this point.

2024 was certainly a difficult year for both hospitals. But despite the challenges we faced, we continued to thrive, remaining strong and resilient doing the work we do best — caring for the health care needs of this community.

The credit for this great feat was due to the loyalty and dedication of the employees and medical staff at Trumbull and Hillside. Their continued focus on providing quality care with skill and compassion exceeds all expectations. Their drive to provide for all aspects of our patients needs is evident in the comments we get from those who have sought care with us.

Besides the outstanding commitment of the staff, we could not have been more pleased to have the support of the community throughout the entire process to new ownership. Our elected officials at the local and county level, the business community and others stood by our side offering their assistance in any way possible because they understand the need for access to good health care close to home.

We are especially indebted to Insight Health System. Dr. Jawad Shah, founder and CEO, and his corporate leadership team have been present and working with local leadership to set up the systems and processes necessary to ensure the long-term viability of the hospitals. In a brief period, they have made a positive impact including bringing services that have not been available for many years such as neurosurgery.

With these changes we are positive that not only will 2025 be a Happy New Year and we have confidence that Insight Hospital and Medical Center Trumbull and Insight Rehabilitation Hospital Hillside will continue to provide patient care second to none for years to come.

We could not be more pleased or proud to be part of this organization and grateful for all those that have contributed to our success.
