And just when you thought things couldn't get any worse ... well, guess what, they just did!
Recently a vast swath of deluded American voters have returned an ethically and morally bankrupt plutocrat back to D.C. Even worse, the formerly "Congressional clown car," aka, The Freedom Caucus, has been relocated to the White House circus tent. Sadly, the voters have been duped! I mean, you can't make this stuff up!
So, where does it go from here? Considering that we will now have a cabinet of potentially villainous autocrats, only downhill!
America now resembles the "Lord of the Flies" and "The Handmaid's Tale," a dystopian country replete with governmental pathocracy. Once resembling our past WWII sensibilities, now manners, graciousness, civility, honor, honesty, integrity and compassion have been voted out of fashion. Worse yet, any pretense of credibility and intelligent presence on the global state has likewise been compromised.
45 / 47 and his coterie of cretins for the most part have control of our country's destiny for the next four years. Perhaps more, with Vance and Musk in the wings enthusiastically awaiting the Mad Hatter's propensity for destroying anything that comes within his jaundiced purview.
In closing, I would like to end on a more encouraging and positive note. Despite a bleak national picture, we can look enthusiastically at the following events yet to unfold right here in the Buckeye State: Down in Columbus, we have the self-proclaimed ( R )ighteous majority party taking us by the hand to a better world. Gone will be those festering and troublesome economic, educational, equality, family, gender, racial and sexual issues. But don't worry, they say, lett us, the better-informed and self-appointed aristocrats, lead you down that virtuous path.
With the certain unveiling of Project 2025, OH SB-83 and HB-183 (now SB-104), we are now potentially moving backward to a pre-Enlightenment era, one where the mindless powers-to-be force themselves into all aspects of our lives. From control of individual human rights, such as bodily autonomy, childrearing and what Democracy really should be ... as per their myopic interpretation of the Bible.
What level of madness have we been subjected and succumbed to?
