DEAR EDITOR:

Joe Biden’s American Rescue Plan (ARP) is still alive and working in Howland and Bazetta!

No thanks to the voters who all supported Trump and his Republican party.

Just so you know, the sidewalk being installed in Howland on state Route 46 from the bypass to Howland Center was made possible by the American Rescue Plan Act funds, from Joe Biden’s plan to create jobs and improve infrastructure after the pandemic. Every Republican voted against it.

Also, to the Bazetta people on McCleary Jacoby, who will enjoy a new paved street and culvert work, not from trustee Bob McBride or Michael Hovis, but from Democrats, who supported this bill by Joseph Biden! You voted for the belt to be tightened. Trumbull County won’t see a dime for years, if ever! ARP money provided jobs, and to many, much needed infrastructure jobs to mention over three years.

But who cares about jobs and bridges when we can have red hats — and a sidewalk to nowhere!
