Kudos to the artist of the editorial page’s Oct. 28 political cartoon, which reflects the view of the unrealistic phobia rampant among deranged Democrats.

Americans of many different ethnicities helped win World War I and stormed the beaches at Normandy to win World War II. This included Puerto Ricans who enlist at a higher rate than many other Americans. They have been citizens since the Spanish-American War in 1898. They do not come from a garbage island and live in most if not all 50 states. We need a president who will treat everyone fairly not someone who puts people down or who will tear us apart. Remember we all do better when we all do better.

The birthplace of the Christian, Islamic and Jewish faiths has always been a war zone. How do we become societies that destroy beauty? No child is born filled with hate, so how is it learned? It isn’t atheists or woke ideology that has us headed toward darker ages. How can we wage constant war and still believe we are peaceful? In a world where it’s said that belief in God and Christianity are of supreme importance, it appears they have little standing.

I’m appalled the Tribune Chronicle would print a Sound Off! letter suggesting retribution for those with Harris signs in their yard. It is a very dangerous business to be making lists of those who don’t share our political views. Reminiscent of Nazi Germany when people reported their neighbors to the government; often with dire consequences. Shame on the Trib! You should know better.
