Consider alternate choices for president

DEAR EDITOR:

Why support a third party, independent or write-in candidate in this year’s election?

Well, consider the presumptive major party candidates present. One is a convicted felon who will be out on appeal at his party’s nominating convention and the other will continue to be dogged by visible health concerns and allegations of corruption by foreign powers among his close family.

Vying to make it to the Ohio ballot this November will be Greens, Libertarians, independent Robert F. Kennedy Jr., maybe others. Write-ins have their own rules.

Each party or candidate has its own appeal. Plus, their messages are far less likely to be molded by the dark money and sinister forces that control the major parties and their propaganda machinery.

Kennedy, I believe, will inject a good dose of basic human decency into our focus-grouped and moneyed-up political discourse. What’s more, Kennedy will have the insight to urge Congress to expose to the American public the radicalizing population dynamics of group health insurance, which has paralyzed our failed elite opinion leaders and money men for 80 years. Plus, Kennedy is the only presidential contender who can answer an unqualified “Yes!” without looking at his shoes when asked whether getting health care for sick people in a timely and effective way is a good thing.
