As I get older this hour back and forth totally messes with my inner-circadian rhythm. Why are we still doing this?!? It made sense maybe 220 years ago but now? Quit messing with my body's inner clock, this sucks.

I see YSU is responding to EGCC students' concerns and education. Maybe this would be a time for donors like Mr. Zoldan to step up and put egos aside and help these students and others in need.

It is interesting to note that Greg Greathouse, D-3rd Ward, is seemingly concerned about the rate hike requested by Dominion Energy. However, he had no misgivings about increasing the pay of City Council members and local city officials by exorbitant amounts. The energy company is requesting a 30% hike, yet the salary increase of some of the aforementioned would be 80% or higher. Just where are Mr. Greathouse's priorities?

Saw an article that 360 employees in the State of Ohio have a higher salary than Gov. Mike DeWine. So, if the Gov. is okay with hard-working employees making more money than he does, why did Warren's Mayor insist he be the highest-paid person in the city?

Regarding the Tribune story March 6, 2024, "County, City Support Medical Center." How about if the Trumbull County commissioners, Mayor Doug Franklin, the Youngstown / Warren Regional Chamber, and the Western Reserve Port Authority research the possibility of having the Cleveland Clinic take over operations at the Trumbull Regional Medical Center? A Warren campus of the Cleveland Clinic could offer residents convenient, superb health care and also could offer the county an economic boon.

Thursday's resounding no to the poll question of local government transparency tells the rest of the story. Print media and broadcast media are the only voice of the people. Don't be afraid to ask the hard questions. Sure fluff sells ads but unbiased truth is the only thing that matters. Hopefully, unopinionated hardcore investigative journalism can become what we the people can expect to see and hear going forward.

Laken Riley, nursing student, was brutally murdered by a Venezuelan illegal alien. Biden's lack of secure border policies made her murder possible. How many more innocent citizens will die by these illegals before Biden takes responsibility for his negligence in securing the border? He needs to reinstate Trump's border security policies which protected our country from invasion. At the SOTU Biden mispronounced Laken's name, but God knows her name. She is now in His loving hands.

March is the month to recognize Social Workers. This group of dedicated individuals works tirelessly to help others. They don't make a lot of money in their profession but continue to work and contribute to make our world a better place for others. They work in hospitals, nursing homes, community organizations and other places to help those in need. I'd like to give a big shout-out to all the social workers in our area to say "Thank you."
