The recent antic of Ms. Frenchko was a beauty! Calling 911 about a barking dog at 3 a.m. is ridiculous but to keep the dispatcher on the phone for 8.5 minutes is absurd. She is doing nothing but revealing her lack of consideration of others as shown by her oft-used profanity. At the very least, she should be fined for calling 911 for a nonemergency, and she should be publicly chastised for her behavior and language toward others.

Shame on Niki Frenchko for making another nonemergency 911 call and tying up lines when she could have just called the police. They had an actual emergency they were trying to deal with but she didn't care one bit. It's always all about her and only her! She needs to be reprimanded for misusing our 911 and for how she treated the 911 employee. Completely uncalled for! I am sick and tired of my tax dollars supporting this trash.

Valentine's Day is over and no visit allowed for my granddaughter. She was not permitted to visit for the last two Christmases either. Trumbull Family Court and its magistrate continue to allow delays and reschedule court dates without regard to what the child is desperately missing -- her mother. There is no regard for the child's needs or feelings. How long can this madness continue? Does anyone care?

I've said it before and I'll say it again. ARP requests should not be entertained until all on-time and on-point requests have been addressed. Commissioners are now entertaining requests for studies to save two dams that are not even owned by the requestor. These are studies, not shovel-to-dirt projects that will have obvious results. The study may show that dam cannot be saved. Then what? More wasted money by the Trumbull County commissioners. Don't be afraid to say "NO!"

Today, Newton Falls' covered bridge reopening ceremony will take place at 1 p.m. Dennis Kucinich will be on hand as part of the ceremony. Apparently, there is concern that the Mahoning River may catch on fire.

The recent lawsuit against the Village of Newton Falls by ex-City Manager Pam Priddy does not come unexpectedly. The people who are responsible for this continued debacle are the people who hired her: ex-Councilmembers John Baryak, Gideon Fetterolf, Brian Kropp and Tesa Spletzer. They, in some form, should be held accountable as they are responsible for hiring an individual with no qualifications for city manager. This is a prime example of unqualified people hiring unqualified people. It doesn't work.

You too can win a political office. Simply hire a high-priced political strategist to give you a recipe on what to say and what not to say. You'll win guaranteed. To what extent someone without integrity will go, including ripping apart their opponent is deflection because they have no record of merit. Don't be misled. Make an informed decision before giving taxpayer paychecks to the undeserving and self-seeking.

The Kansas City Chiefs celebration parade security personnel numbered at least 800. Only in America would a minor celebration require that much protection and still result in death and injury to so many. But, as the governor, who was in attendance and lauded the safety forces, he, his wife, as well as the Kansas City Chiefs players were unharmed. Thank the good Lord that our esteemed stars walked away. Only in America are they the people worth saving.
