Niki Frenchko continues to demonstrate she is incapable of working with anyone, including, but not limited to, Trumbull County employees, fellow commissioners, anyone who disagrees with her, Democrats, independents, and yes, even Republicans!
Frenchko was recently formally censured and banned from GOP headquarters in Trumbull County by the Party's officers. In a resolution the board officers "Ceased any and all support of Frenchko as a member of the Party and as a candidate for public office as a result of her ongoing behavior and actions which have been destructive in nature and have adversely affected the Republican Party, its members, officers and candidates."
As a Republican, I commend the Republican Party for taking such bold action, and I also commend the many citizens who have bravely placed anti-Frenchko signs in their front yards in spite of threats and harassment.
Lastly, I strongly implore Commissioners Cantalamessa and Malloy to resist their relentless pressure by Frenchko to institute a $7 million permanent yearly sales tax levy on the people, just to allow WRTA to continue to provide limited direct bus route service to an already underutilized public transit system; a system that is costing the county over $1 million of senior levy and general fund money that provided only 30,000 total rides per year. By contrast, Trumbull Transit, in 2019, provided approximately 60,000 door-to-door, seven-day-a-week rides for only $425,000 paid from senior levy funds allocated for senior and disabled riders. A smaller amount was paid by the participating communities for transportation.
For your information, Frenchko demanded an audit of Trumbull Transit, allegedly for over-charging for rides performed and was still owed a significant amount of money for those rides. People of Trumbull County take note: Relief is on the way for the day of reckoning for Frenchko is rapidly approaching on primary Election Day, March 19, 2024!
