Frenchko's no vote on the Medicaid funds wasn't against funds, as front page headline implies. She noted she supports the funds but voted no due to once again items being submitted late and with no review. These contracts already started six weeks ago. Due diligence, neglect, not doing things proper. Her no vote was against the other two rubber-stamping without concern for proper notice. Watch the meetings and see for yourself!

It's been over a week since Warren's City Council had the audacity to grant raises of unrealistic proportions. Some will receive an 89% increase; all will have the availability of health insurance, many who are employed only part time! Where is the outrage? The disbelief? Petitions are now circulating to put this pay increment on the ballot, so that the voters might decide whether or not to allow it. No group should ever be allowed to grant itself such unsustainable raises.

I hope Howland trustees, who preach economic development, take seriously the refurbishing of old, vacant infrastructure and not developing greenspaces and concreting all of Howland! Statewide, respect the will of the people! GOP officials are looking into ways the legislature, not judges, can decide nuances remaining on Issue 1. These are some of operatives who helped defraud citizens of 61 million in nuclear plant bailout. Nationally, the ex-president sounds like a Nazi-fascist willing to shred the constitution and jail detractors.

Doing a good job does not warrant a 50% pay increase, be it in private or government business. However, no one should work for free, as the Newton Falls' manager claims she did over an eight-month period. If that is the case, then retroactively pay her, keep her present salary as is, and move on from there.

Trumbull County Commissioners and the ARP request process is a complete joke! The portal has been closed, requests exceed funds, yet projects are continuously allowed to be submitted.Bloomfield Township modified its application and now Braceville Township is asking for money. Malloy said Howland didn't apply. I'm sure they will get a request in, too. Sorry to those that were thorough and on time. Typical society, cater to the lazy.

If protesters / activists (aka liberals) at the global trade summit are, in part, upset with deals that increase corporate profits, maybe they should reflect on the cause of today's outrageously high prices at the food stores: Bernie Sanders, whose proposal in Congress helped raise the federal minimum wage to $17 an hour. Would prices -- i.e., wage increases passed on to consumers -- have skyrocketed if this ultra-lib hadn't done so?

Ohio approved a state constitutional amendment to allow abortions and it approved a law making weed legal. So, sex without any consequences and legal pot. It took over 50 years, but the hippies have won in Ohio. Sex, drugs and rock 'n' Roll. Almost, since rock 'n' roll died Feb. 3, 1959. Two out of three ain't bad, or so the song goes.

Now that marijuana is legal and any adult can get high and out of their mind, have an abortion to murder a baby, what's next? Euthanasia for Seniors?
