No cost of living increases for Warren elected officials? They got their cost of living increases when they won election. I can't imagine any of these people making $80,000 to $87,000 a year if they hadn't won elections! City Council will have a target on their backs if they go along with these raises, and rightfully so!

Well, kudos to Warren City Schools, seemingly happy with a 2.5-star rating on the Ohio Department of Education report card! Again, Warren is next-to-lowest achieving school in Trumbull County. Parents must become more positively involved in their child's education. Teachers must be allowed to teach the basics, including the arts. But, hey, Warren will have a million-dollar wellness center, so everything must be fine.

Some in the media's hair is on fire over the UAW's demand for a 32 hour work week. The media adds to their reporting that the union also wants to be paid for 40 hours for only working 32. That's not true. This is the union's plan. Monday thru Thursday (32 hours) would be at straight time. Friday would be at time and a half; so what was 40 hours of pay is now 44 hours.

When will the city of Warren repair the leaking roadway on Pine Avenue just south of South Street? Will we get to slide on the ice again this winter? Should have received ARP Funding. Is it gone? And maybe fix the flooding of Pine Avenue. Why do we have to pay city income tax to drive on damaged roads or make detours for closed streets?

Trumbull and Mahoning counties are reappraising properties and are expecting property taxes to be raised by 30% due to the reappraisal. There should be no millage requests on the ballot until the dust settles from these reappraisals.

Smoking cannabis is rampant in my senior high-rise, instead of using edibles for pain relief, where the addictive THC is removed. Reason? It's cheaper and they like the " high." Also,it stinks. Smoking anything should be banned in multi-unit buildings. Live in the wilderness where you can smoke, burn, run naked, play loud music to your "lungs'" content.

Did you read "SeeTheLanguage.com"? It pretty much explains why Democrats were so eager to vote down Issue 1. I still don't understand why Democrats have no value for human life. I can see abortion to save a mother's life, but any other abortion is murder! How can they propose approving abortion right up to birth? Someday they meet their maker, and I hope he sends them to hell for what they proposed or did.
