Packard Band concert provided needed lift

My husband and I attended the W.D. Packard Band’s Memorial Day concert at the Packard Music Hall. For those who weren’t able to attend for whatever reason, they missed an exceptional concert featuring an amazing lineup of some of our country’s finest patriotic songs.

The concert was inspiring at a time when we, the people, need inspiration and hope. The Packard Band was superb as always. All who had a part in this Memorial Day Remembrance did a wonderful job in sharing their talents at this special event. Also, the Lawrence County Brass added some flair with its rendition of the toe-tapping music of “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy.”

The hour of honoring those who served our country so valiantly and sharing our love of music and love of country was solemn yet uplifting in so many ways. We were truly impressed with the program and the small audience was delighted and grateful for the work of all who had a part in this production.

Many thanks to the Packard Band with its many fine members and conductor, Dr. Stephen L. Gage, for dedicating their time to offer this wonderful program to Warren and the surrounding communities.
