Why construct a vaccine distribution center in a difficult-to-reach location like the Trumbull County Fairgrounds? There are several vacant sites that could be utilized: the former Kmart at Eastwood Mall; Kmart building on Parkman Road; former T.J. Maxx location; vacant auto showroom next to Klaben Ford on Youngstown Road; former supermarket at North River Road and Elm Road; and probably several more! Why not make better use of the funds received?

A real brother in blue, active or former, would have used better judgment than to confront another officer for doing his job. A classic situation of barking up the wrong tree. The brother on the bridge deserves an apology! The purpose of the speed camera is to stop speeding by hitting the speeder where it hurts, in the wallet.

I was disgusted to read that Niki Frenchko, our county commissioner who campaigned on "transparency," is trying to conduct county business on private cellphones. I applaud our auditor for taking a stand against this and for redirecting her to the proper way of doing business.

With no telephone books, few stationary telephones and many nonlisted cellphone numbers, no existing email directory and no centrally available sources after business hours, how can we find out even the names of our township officials in order to contact them? Worse, when contact is made with an answering machine, some township officials have their mailboxes full or fail to return messages. Precinct committee people, zoning officials, appeals, park board, school board and trustees should make themselves available.

County commissioners and fair board must come together to act right now. Use the commercial building already on fairgrounds suitable for vaccine administration. It's instantly ready for multiple rows of cars. Ask the people to remove early campers and boats being seasonally stored due to unprecedented need. Problem solved. Why would they spend money, waste time with a new, not even permanent structure? Call the commissioners to inquire.

Shame on teachers' unions. As everyone should know by now, Democrats are indebted to them. That is why Joe Biden has no backbone. This is a wake up call to support school choice.

An American COVID-19 relief bill for $1.9 trillion has only 9 percent actually goes to American citizens and 91 percent goes to "special interests" -- special interests of those pushing this bill. Future generations will be the owners of our politicians' fiscal abuse where we received $2,000 and special interests received millions.

Why is there so much anger, hate, bullying, lying, name calling and vengeance in our nation when so many are suffering just trying to exist in a society ravaged by this virus, with homes and jobs lost, food needed, and no way to improve their situation. Why is the stimulus being held up, and why in heaven's name cannot hourly wages be $15? Why are idiots attacking Asian Americans who had nothing to do with spreading the virus. Why?
