Sept. 29 presidential debate was a debacle
What America and the world witnessed Sept. 29 in Cleveland was not a debate. It was a debacle.
The most despicable segment came toward the end when Donald Trump was explicitly asked to denounce white supremacy.
Instead of doing so, he revealingly called upon a heavily-armed fascist gang to “stand back and stand by.” That call for civil war in America makes all those “Trump 2020” signs the American functional equivalent of “Hitler 1933” ones.
As someone who was born in the rubble that was Germany after the fascists got through with it, I shudder at the nefarious prospects of a Trump victory.
