Although I've been a lifelong Democrat, it's time for a change. I no longer consider myself a Democrat, but an independent. The current Democratic Party is not the party of my father nor of John F. Kennedy. I did not leave the party; it left me.
I was informed by the board of elections I had to register as a Democrat or Republican. I didn't want to be a Republican, but I registered anyway. The radical Dems are now out of the closet and in full view for all to see, including my congressman. What they stand for is not only un-American, but completely ludicrous.
For example, to secure the southern border, Nancy Pelosi wants the grass cut so you can see who is entering the country. If Medicare for All is adopted, you would lose your private insurance, and everyone working in the medical insurance field would be out of work. Her answer is they can get jobs selling auto insurance.
Hillary Clinton wants to eliminate coal mining jobs and retrain them to work at McDonald's. To save the planet, A.O.C. wants to somehow regulate gas emitted from cows. She doesn't even know what a garbage grinder is. What is dangerous is she might run for president someday.
Joe Biden will probably run as a moderate. Don't be fooled. He's still a radical Dem.
The craziest is Bernie Sanders. He believes all incarcerated persons should have the right to vote. Would this have included people like Jeffery Dahmer, John Wayne Gacy, Ted Bundy or Charles Manson? I don't think so.
They also would eliminate I.C.E., have more sanctuary cities, add three more members to Supreme Court, eliminate the Electoral College and amend or eliminate the constitution.
Speaking about constitutions, the following are, in part, some provisions to 1936 Constitution of The Soviet Union, adopted on Dec. 5, 1936, known as the Stalin Constitution.
l Article 120 provides free medical service for working people and a wide network of health resorts for working people;
l Article 121 provides free education, including higher education being free of charge.
This sounds a lot like what Bernie Sanders and his socialist friends preach.
In retrospect, you have a choice in this November election to determine what type of country you want your children and grandchildren to live in. This election will determine the soul of America.
If the radical Dems would ever gain total political power, you can forget about the American dream because the state will provide you your wellbeing from cradle to grave. To pay for all of this free stuff your children and grandchildren will be taxed until they become pennyless.
