Forgiveness and mental health

Does a forgiving spirit have anything to do with our sanity? Evidently it does, according to a study published in the Journal of Health Psychology. The researchers "suggested that teaching forgiveness may be a valuable mental health early intervention strategy."A team of California psychologists conducted a survey among 148 college students to find how being "forgiving" to others affected their own emotional well-being. Memories are gone or in ruin

Seventy-nine years ago, I was born at St. Joseph Riverside Hospital on Tod Avenue on the northwest side of Warren. Driving by recently, it was difficult to even see the first floor of that now-abandoned building through the car window. The site is obscured by the high weeds that grow along the chain link fence that encloses the other weeds and the grass growing up through the cracks in the parking lot.
