On Tuesday evening I had the tremendous pleasure to be present for the Tribune Chronicle's 20 Under 20 Banquet.If you're not familiar with the event, young people from across the county were nominated by friends, family members, teachers and church leaders to receive recognition for the hard work these individuals do in our community. Sixty-four years ago today, the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, we found ourselves digging out of the Great Thanksgiving Day Blizzard of 1950. Actually, although it was snowing quite hard on Thanksgiving, the blizzard didn't really hit until Saturday, Nov. 25, when the Buckeyes lost to Michigan 9-3 in Columbus, on a playing field that had all the yard lines completely obliterated by the blinding snow. I am a Cleveland Browns fan. For the first time in forever, I can freely announce this fact without expecting a sympathetic reply.For years I have been a die-hard fan of the Browns, but whenever I would wear my team's jersey in public, I would receive the pity of fans from other NFL teams. Fatigue may have caused California crash

REDDING, Calif. (AP) - The driver of a tour bus that overturned in California, killing one man and injuring at least 30 other passengers, might have been fatigued, authorities said Monday.A California Highway Patrol investigation of the Sunday crash was continuing, but authorities said the bus had a minor crash at a restaurant earlier in the day, suggesting the driver may have been tired, the Los Angeles Times reported."Most people are aware of the dangers of drinking and driving but don't realize that driving while fatigued can be just as fatal," the CHP said in a statement.Bus driver ...

I've been kinda blue lately. I've been missing my mom something awful. I sometimes feel like I'm struggling through this whole parenting thing. Am I raising my children right? What would Mom have done? I can never ask her.
