LEAVITTSBURG -- Sherry Jackson Surrena, 69, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2026, at St. Joseph Warren Hospital.
She was born May 14, 1957, in Warren, a daughter of James Jackson and Evelyn Finnegan Harrington.
Sherry dedicated her life to her family and friends. She was selfless and would put anyone else's needs above her own. Cheering on and supporting her children were her priority. Playing games with her grandchildren brought her so much joy and she would brag about them to anyone that would listen. In her spare time, Sherry did jigsaw puzzles – the bigger the better – and watched the Green Bay Packers.
She is survived by her son, William “Tony” (Jessica) Surrena of Niles; daughter, Sarah (Nicholas) Popczun of Dublin, Virginia; partner, Alfonso Vazquez; siblings, John (Beverly) Jackson, Lavada (Felipe) Vazquez, Valerie Jackson and James (Terri) Jackson; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Frank (Kim) Monachino; grandson, Theo; granddaughter, Jane; nephews, Matt (Amy) Jackson, Mark (Kristen) Jackson, and Frank (Deanna) Monachino; and niece, Ashley Monachino; along with many other nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William “Allen” Surrena.
No services will take place at this time.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.
