GIRARD -- Stefanie Ross, 81, of Girard, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 26, 2026, at Hospice House.
She was born on Oct. 8, 1944, in North Jackson, a daughter to the late Anthony and Alvena Costello Albanese.
She was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church in Girard.
For 35 years, she worked at Packard Electric and gave many years of steady dedication and service throughout her career.
She found joy in the things that brought people together. Stefanie was an avid bocce player and was involved in various bocce leagues such as the IFH league in Girard, Todd Park in Girard, American Legion in Lake Milton and SOI in Warren. She also greatly enjoyed trips to the casino and traveling, interests that added fun, companionship, and memorable experiences to her life.
Above all, Stefanie treasured her family. She is survived by her son, Michael Ross; her stepson, John Ross; her sisters, Carol O'Neil and Carmila Yakell; her brother, Joseph Albanese; and her many nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John "Jack" Ross, whom she married on Aug. 4, 1966, and passed away on Oct. 23, 2013, and her brothers, Dominic Albanese, Steve Albanese and Anthony "Junior" Albanese.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during visitation from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 5, at Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard.
A funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 6, at Blackstone Funeral Home, Girard.
Stefanie will be laid to rest at Crown Hill Cemetery, next to her husband.
