CHAMPION – Robert L. Bentfeld, 77, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2026, at Hospice of the Valley, surrounded by his family.
He was born April 23, 1949, in Youngstown, the son of Charles K. Bentfeld and Ethel Goughler Hart.
Bob was a member of Warren First Assembly of God Church for many years. He was a veteran of the United States Navy.
Bob’s memory will be cherished by his loving wife, Mary Lou Bentfeld; daughter, Courtney Hatt; son, Phillip (Ashley) Bentfeld; stepsons, Keith (Tammy) Koon, and Craig (Reena) Koon; stepdaughters, Stacie (Corey) Evans, and Jessica (Matt) Brake; brother, Tom (Johnnie) Bentfeld; sisters, Deborah Smith and Connie Hayes-Tubbs; sister-in-law, Earlyn Bentfeld; and 22 grandchildren, five grandchildren-in-law and five great-grandchildren.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 2, 2026, at Warren First Assembly of God Church. Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 2, 2026.
Interment will be in Champion Township Cemetery, Warren.
