SOUTHINGTON -- Nettie Harshman, 74, a lifelong resident of Southington, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 4, 2026, at her home.
She was born Nov. 19, 1951, in Warren, the daughter of William Harshman and LaRue Farmer.
Nettie was employed in the housekeeping department at Trumbull Memorial Hospital. Nettie was a member of Southington United Methodist Church and was a longtime volunteer with the Southington Township Fire Department. She enjoyed watching NASCAR and westerns, listening to country music and buying and selling antiques at the Mesopotamia Ox Roast.
She is survived by her son, Kirk (Brittany) Vincent; sister, Loria (Alan) Freeman; brothers, Chuck (Fran) Harshman and Willie Harshman; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and her fur babies, Daisy and Mr. Ed.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Sherry Harshman.
Services will be 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2026, at the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.
Friends may call from 5 p.m. until service time on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Graham Cemetery, Southington.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.
