Kathleen Pavick

HUDSON - Kathleen M. Pavick, 88, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 15, 2026.

Born on Christmas Day in 1937, Kathleen was the daughter of the late John and Charlotte Azara Davis.

She was immensely proud of her three daughters: Debbie Pavick (Joe Block) of Evanston, Illinois; Gail Pavick of Hudson; and Cheryl Pavick Soggs (Jim Soggs) of Atlanta, Georgia. She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Alex Block, Jake Soggs, Evan Soggs and Sasha Soggs.

In addition to her parents, Kathleen was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; her brothers, John and Richard Davis; and her sister, Carol Davis.

Kathleen was a graduate of St. Mary High School and attended Kent State University. She spent most of her life in Warren, where she met and married Robert, the love of her life. They shared a deep love for one another, a passion for travel, many cherished friendships, and, above all, a commitment to caring for their adult daughter, Gail.

Kathleen was a tireless caregiver and fierce advocate for Gail. Through that experience, she came to understand the importance of having an advocate in a healthcare setting and often supported friends by accompanying them to medical appointments. She also brought communion to nursing home residents and kept a shelf in her closet stocked with boxes of chocolates to take to friends who had moved into nursing homes.

Despite the serious responsibilities of being a full-time caregiver, Kathleen knew how to enjoy life and always made sure to look her best. She was an impeccable dresser and always beautifully put together. She appreciated a good misunderstanding, laughed loudly and infectiously, and could turn something only slightly funny into an occasion for shared laughter.

In addition to Scrabble, Words With Friends, Euchre, and Mah Jong, Kathleen enjoyed a bit of gambling - and somehow, she always seemed to come out ahead, or so the family was led to believe.

Over the last nine years, Kathy and Gail made their home in Hudson, where they embraced the Laurel Lake Retirement Community and were warmly embraced in return.

Kathleen's memorial service will be at 11 a.m. on Nov. 14, 2026, at Laurel Lake in the Community Center at 200 Laurel Lake Drive, Hudson.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Brain Injury Association of Ohio (BIAOH), P.O. Box 21325, Columbus, OH 43221, or online at biaoh.givecloud.co.

Arrangements are being handled by Peter Rossi and Son Memorial Chapel.

Rest in strength. Forever loved.
