CHAMPION - Kathi D. Peyton Patterson, 67, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of deep faith, vibrant passion and an extraordinary love for her family. A proud 1976 graduate of Warren Western Reserve High School, Kathi lived a life filled with intellectual curiosity, musical joy and a generous heart.
Kathi had a tenacious desire for life and a fighting will to live. Throughout her illness, she fought to the very last moment for the life she loved and so deeply cherished.
Her life was defined by the things she loved most. Kathi found immense comfort and joy in her faith, regularly attending church, reading her Bible and diving into the study of Greek. She had a passion for the drums, a love for shopping and cherished the simple pleasure of eating out with her mother and her many friends. She loved reaching out to help others and she treasured family gatherings whenever she could attend. Kathi was also very fond of and shared a deeply loving relationship with her father-in-law, Mr. Kenneth Patterson, whose presence in her life she truly treasured.
Kathi is survived by her devoted husband of 33-and-a-half years, Mark A. Patterson; her loving mother, Mary Peyton; and her dear father-in-law, Kenneth Patterson. Her legacy lives on through her two sons, Jared M. (Nicole) Andritsis and Vincent M. (Martha) Andritsis; and daughter, Kayla; as well as her six cherished grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her three brothers, Christopher A. Peyton, Jottie P. Peyton and Eric V. Peyton.
She was welcomed into peace by those who preceded her in passing: her father, Jottie Peyton; and her sister, Vicki L. Peyton Youngblood.
A private memorial service has taken place at the Warren Revival Center, with family and close friends.
