Jule Rae Fowler 1947-2026

HOWLAND - Jule Rae Andrus Fowler, of Howland, passed away peacefully at her home Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2026, at the age of 79.

She was born Jan. 20, 1947, to Burton and Velma Roberts Andrus. She grew up in Vienna and graduated from Mathews High School. Following graduation, she worked at Delphi Packard before retiring after 30 years.

During her working years, she spent much of her time with her children, Pamela and John, taking them on vacations and keeping score for their baseball/softball games as well as many other activities.

She enjoyed many different activities throughout her life. She maintained close contact with the friends from her class and for many years was a part of the Card Club, for which she was always excited to gather.

Over the years, she enjoyed doing crafts, was a member of a ladies golf league, played bingo, was part of several bowling leagues and enjoyed many other activities. She loved traveling the world with her husband, John, as they set out to see as much of the world as they could, usually from a cruise ship deck.

She always felt fortunate that she was able to spend her remaining years near her grandchildren.

She is survived by her son, John Edward (Lyndsay) Fowler; her grandchildren, Jacob, Elizabeth and Lincoln; her brother, Gail (Karen) Andrus, and their children, Nicole and Matt.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Burt and Velma; her husband, John Alan Fowler; and her daughter, Pamela M. Dickens.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 2, 2026, at the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.

She will be laid to rest privately in Crown Hill Burial Park, Vienna.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.
