NILES - John H. "Smitty" Smith, 61, died Thursday, Oct. 15, 2026, at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital.
He was born April 19, 1965, in Hartford, Connecticut, the son of Roy and Kathleen Kleina Smith.
John's primary employment was with Stericycle.
He is survived by his nieces and nephews: Kristi Sherro, Danielle Beckett, Michael Beckett Jr. and Zack Cutter; his brother-in-law, Michael Beckett Sr.; his daughter, Ashley Batcho; and two grandchildren.
Preceding him in death are his parents and a sister.
Services are private.
