WARREN -- Homer F. "Ford" Gearhart, 77, formerly of McDonald, died Sunday, Oct. 4, 2026, at the residence of his niece.
He was born March 11, 1949, in Warren, a son of Frank and Bessie Irwin Gearhart.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving during the Vietnam War.
He retired as a mail carrier at the Girard Post Office.
Survivors include his son, Wes Gearhart; sisters, Marilyn Harris, Joan Peterson, Rhoda Aubel and Karen Cook; brother, John Gearhart; eight grandchildren; and his niece/caretaker, Sandy Wolcott, at home.
Homer was preceded in death by his wife, Pamela J. Mohn Gearhart; six brothers; and two sisters.
Calling hours will be 4 to 5 p.m. Monday, with services and military honors at 5 p.m. at Blackstone Funeral Home, Girard. Interment will be in Girard City Cemetery.
