WARREN - Frank B. Heim, 81, passed away Sunday, Oct. 4, 2026.
Frank was born on Aug. 11, 1945, in New Castle, Pa., the son of the late Frank L. and Margaret Heim. He spent most of his life in Warren.
Frank had a love for family, friends and a good bourbon. He adored his wife of 41 years, Patricia “Patty” Heim. The couple married on Valentine’s Day, continuing a special family tradition of celebrating weddings on that day. Frank enjoyed spending time with his son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren.
He proudly served his country in the United States Navy aboard the USS Klondike. He maintained a special connection with his fellow servicemen and looked forward to attending the ship’s annual reunions.
Frank belonged to American Legion Post 700, Avalon Country Club and the Elks Club. He also had a lifelong connection to the Eintracht Singing Society, where he grew up surrounded by music and tradition. His father served as a DJ there, and his grandparents were members of the Männerchor singing society. Frank later served as an officer of the Eintracht for many years.
He enjoyed attending live concerts, with the Eagles being his all-time favorite, along with Fleetwood Mac, Pink Floyd, and the Rolling Stones. He was also a Corvette enthusiast and the proud owner of a 1985 Corvette. He enjoyed traveling to Corvettes at Carlisle, where he could share his passion with fellow enthusiasts.
Frank loved spending time at his condo in Hilton Head, South Carolina. He especially enjoyed spending time with the friends he and Patty made there and frequenting their favorite restaurants together. Whether enjoying time in Hilton Head, attending a concert, or sharing a bourbon with his son, Frank appreciated life’s simple pleasures.
Frank loved the holidays. He enjoyed Halloween and hosted memorable parties for many years, often wearing elaborate costumes lovingly made by Patty. Some of his favorites were Sylvester the Cat and the Pink Panther. Christmas was equally special to Frank, who firmly believed there could never be too many presents.
He leaves behind the love of his life, Patricia “Patty” Heim; his son, Frank (Erin) Heim; his cherished grandchildren, Anniston and Landon; and his brother, Ken (Linda) Heim.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Frank L. and Margaret Heim; and his sister, Kathryn Durgam.
Private funeral services will take place.
Frank will be laid to rest in Pineview Memorial Park in Warren.
