Bridgette L. Thrash 1962-2026

Bridgette L. Thrash

WARREN - Bridgette Lyn Harris Thrash, 63, of Warren, was called home to eternal rest on Sunday, Oct. 18, 2026, after peacefully fighting a brief illness.

She was born Nov. 2, 1962, in Warren, the daughter of Norman Harris Sr. and Sylvesta JoAnn Baker Harris-Marilla-Ball.

Bridgette was a lifelong resident of Warren, with brief out-of-state ventures to visit family. Bridgette had a happy-go-lucky outlook on life. She was a lighthearted person, and you would mostly find her smiling, joking, and laughing through good and bad times. She was often told she could have been a comedian. Bridgette also had a very giving soul; she would keep blankets and clothes just in case someone came to her in need, and if so, she would have opened her doors to help, giving them food and a warm place to stay even if it was a space on her floor.

Many who knew Bridgette knew it was the three Harris girls, Bridgette, Lisa and Sonja, because our mom made sure we stuck together through anything - even if we didn’t like each other all of the time. It will always be Bridgette, Lisa and Sonja. It’s just that now Bridgette’s name will be said in silence.

There are no words of expression to state or show how truly missed she will be.

Memories of Bridgette will be cherished by her son, Maurice E. Evans Jr.; daughter, Derricka J.G. Thrash; sisters, Felecia J. Harris and Sonja T. Harris McCain; and too many relatives and friends to mention.

Trust and believe Bridgette’s legacy will continue through her 24-plus grandchildren, three great-grandchildren with honorable mention of Dreaiona and Derrieon Golden, who have been with her since birth.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Derek A. Thrash, and a daughter, Eysha C. Thrash, and brothers, Norman Harris II and Jack A. Harris.

We would also like to send our gratitude to MaLynda McCorkle-Henderson and JaLynda Owens for the loving care they gave to Bridgette.

Services will be held at 12 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 2, 2026, at the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 2, 2026, at the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.
