CORTLAND -- Ahmed Al-Akash, 32, formerly of Cortland, passed away on Monday, Oct. 12, 2026, at his residence in Streetsboro.
He was born Feb. 8, 1994, in Youngstown, a son of Munadel Al-Akash and Kerri Hardin.
He was a graduate of Lakeview High School, The Ohio State University and Youngstown State University, receiving a master’s degree in biology.
He loved his work as a team lead in the quality control lab at Avantor. He was an avid Browns fan and enjoyed game days with his family and friends. In his spare time, he enjoyed gaming and immersing himself in his Palestinian heritage.
He will be deeply missed by his parents and two sisters, Layla Al-Akash and Amira Al-Akash, all of Cortland; and many family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, William Hardin.
Arrangements were handled by the Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles.
