William H. Dillon 1932-2026

HOWLAND -- William H. "Bill" Dillon, 94, passed away Friday morning, Sept. 11, 2026, at his home surrounded by his family.

Bill was born Feb. 19, 1932, in Warren, a son of the late Marion and Mary Dillon.

He was a graduate of Howland High School and worked as an electrician.

He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy.

He married the love of his life, Betty T. Dillon, on May 24, 1952, and began their family together. He was a founding member of Living Lord Lutheran Church in Warren and the Niles McKinley Masonic Lodge 794, where he celebrated 66 years. He enjoyed fishing, camping and riding his dirt bike.

Bill will be deeply missed by his loving daughter, Jean M. (Larry Skelton) Dillon; granddaughters, Ashley Nicole (Reggie) Rooks, Jillian Alexis (Michael) Anderson King and Shelby Elizabeth (Joshua) Entrekin; and great-grandchildren, Reed William and Delaney Rooks, Nixon, Kennedy and Monroe King, and Baby Girl Entrekin, who is on the way.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 61 years, Betty Dillon; and his brother, James Dillon.

Family and friends may visit from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2026, at Living Lord Lutheran Church, 854 Niles-Cortland Road NE in Warren. Funeral services will follow at noon.
