WARREN -- William E. Ferry, 87, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 5, 2026, at his residence.
He was born Nov. 18, 1938, in Warren, the son of Dean and Evelyn Ferry.
Bill was a 1956 graduate of Neil High School in the Fowler school system and was employed as a cutter operator at Allied Metals in Niles for over 50 years, retiring in 2000.
He enjoyed fishing and playing Sudoku. He was an avid Cleveland Browns fan.
His wife, Paulette Thomas Ferry, whom he married on Nov. 16, 1963, died March 10, 2018.
He will be deeply missed by two sons, Shawn Ferry, and his wife, Mary, with whom he made his home, and Michael Ferry and his wife, Ann of Columbus; two daughters, Wendy Sherrod and her husband, Steven of Pennington Gap, Virginia, and Melanie Criss of Warren; and 13 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Ryan Criss; a sister; and his beloved husky wolf, Oscar.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the noon funeral service on Monday, Sept. 21, 2026, at The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home, with the Rev. Erica L. Brown officiating.
Burial will be in Pineview Cemetery.
