SOUTHINGTON -- Vickie Sue Farmer, 70, of Southington, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 29, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on Oct. 29, 1955, in Warren. Vickie was the daughter of Leonard and Jessie Nethken Phillips.
Vickie was a 1974 graduate of Chalker High School. Throughout her life, Vickie was a source of unwavering love, strength and devotion to her family.
She worked side by side as a business partner for 40 years with her husband, James D. Farmer III, at their family business, Farmer Plumbing in Champion. She married her husband, Jim of Southington, and over their 51 years of marriage together, they built a life filled with love, laughter and cherished memories. Together they raised two children, Jamie Farmer and Shanann Graczyk, who will forever be grateful for her love and support.
In addition to her relationship with her children, Vickie enjoyed spending quality time by the pool with her five grandchildren.
Vickie had a passion for decorating her home. It was always a warm and welcoming place for family gatherings, holiday celebrations, and quiet moments with loved ones. She also enjoyed reading and listening to Christmas music.
A special thank you to her sisters, Beverly Pearce and Debbie Whitmore. Her family truly appreciates all the help and time they have given to them during this difficult time.
Vickie is survived by her devoted husband, Jim Farmer of Southington; her children, Jamie (Michelle) Farmer of Howland and Shanann (Mark) Graczyk of Cortland; her four sisters, Rosemary Minton of Lordstown, Beverly (Les) Pearce of Warren, Debbie (Jay) Whitmore of Southington and Joyce (Dave) Brown of Champion; and her grandchildren, Tyler (Kamryn) Graczyk, Jaxon Farmer, Ashley Graczyk, Bella Farmer and Cooper Farmer.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her grandfather, Poppy.
Funeral services will begin at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2026, at Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.
Friends and family may gather from 4 p.m. until service time at 6 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home.
Vickie will be laid to rest on Wednesday in Champion Township Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that material contributions be made to the Southington Community Trust, P.O. Box 301, Southington, OH 44470, in her memory.
