Salvatore V. Pezzano 1934-2026

NILES -- Salvatore V. Pezzano, 92, of Niles, passed away Friday, Sept. 4, 2026, at St. Joseph Warren Hospital.

He will be deeply missed by his wife, Diane Marino Pezzano, whom he married July 15, 1978; a son, Michael Pezzano of Niles; two daughters, Christine Pezzano of Niles and Jacquelyn Mikesell (Tom) of Warren; a brother, Joseph Pezzano of Sanford, Florida; five grandchildren, Renee (Bill) McCallion, Alicia (Ed) Stonestreet, Kelsy (Samuel) Gatta, Joseph (Selena) Mikesell and Jacob (Marissa) Mikesell; and nine great-grandchildren, Cormac, Finley, Mia, Brynley, Eddie, Maria, Samuel Jr., Capri and Cyrus.

One of Sal's greatest joys was being a grandfather and great-grandfather. Whether he was cheering from the sidelines, celebrating special holidays and events, enjoying a family vacation, golfing, or simply spending time together, Sal made each moment special.

Proud of his Italian heritage, Sal loved sharing family stories and values he held close. His love, guidance, humor, and unwavering presence meant so much to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. One of his sweetest joys was sharing a birthday with his great-granddaughter, Capri, a special connection that brought him happiness and forever remains in their family's hearts. His love will live on through the countless memories he created and the generations he loved so deeply.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Dominic Pezzano; two sisters, Annette Vigorito and Marie Chiarello; and a great-granddaughter, Angelina.
