WARREN -- Robert D. Cook, 71, entered into eternal rest Monday, Aug. 31, 2026, at St. Joseph Warren Hospital.
He was born Aug. 21, 1955, in Warren, the son of Robert Cook and Marion C. Masters.
Bob graduated from Warren G. Harding High School and was the owner/operator of Bob's Professional Carpet Cleaning.
The consummate athlete, Bob played all sports in school and well into his adult life at Packard Park. He could shoot one hundred free throws and not miss one. He sponsored his own slow-pitch softball and baseball teams. He enjoyed running, working out, bowling and yardwork. In less active moments, he loved to sit and read the newspaper, watch football or go to the casino. A fan of "cool older cars," he belonged to the YMCA and ITAM.
Precious memories of Bob live on with his two daughters, Jennifer Lyn Cook (Joe Sweitzer) of Howland and Rachel Ann Cook (Charles Chaney) of Cleveland; six grandchildren, Melena, Brielle and Anniston Wortman, Joey Sweitzer, and Harper and Ethan Chaney; his brother, David Cook; and other family and friends who love Bob and think of him fondly.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Robert and Marion, and his brother, Ronnie Cook.
A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
