CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas -- Richard Clark Cox passed away peacefully Thursday, Aug. 6, 2026, at his residence after an extended illness.
Richard was born June 17, 1942, in Warren, the second child of R. Keeler and Margaret Cox.
He attended Warren City Schools and graduated from Warren G. Harding High School in June 1960. He studied at Baldwin Wallace University in Berea, Ohio, and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics.
Richard joined the Cox family's printing business in 1964 and began learning the many facets of the industry. In January 1968, Richard was named general manager of Falls Printing Company, a Cox family holding.
Richard enjoyed membership at the Warren Olympic Club and was an avid competitive swimmer. He also loved all types of music and played the guitar, flute, and clarinet. But most of all, his greatest passion was sailing, and he earned his instructor's license.
In addition to his wife, Irina, he is survived by his daughter, Kiersten of Tampa, Florida; son, Ben of Helotes, Texas; his grandchildren, Ben and Quinn; his brother, Ralph of Warren, Ohio; and his sister, Margaret of Ajijic, Mexico.
Preceding him in death were his parents and his son, John.
Richard will be fondly remembered by so many for his kind, generous, fun-loving spirit.
