NILES -- Joanne L. Smith, age 83, formerly of Champion, died Thursday, Sept. 10, 2026, at Cortland Health Care.
She was born March 22, 1943, in Pittsburgh, Pa., the daughter of Joseph and Anne Gratchen Kuzior.
Joanne worked as a bank teller for the former First Federal Savings.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, William R. Smith Sr.; two sons, William R. Smith Jr. of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Brian K. Smith of Maineville; three grandchildren; one great-grandson; one sister, Barbara Brown of Eldersville, Pa.; and three brothers, Joseph of Tallmadge, Jerry of Denver, Colorado, and Kenneth Kuzior of Canfield.
Services are private. Her casket will be entombed in All Souls Cemetery.
Arrangements were handled by Staton-Borowski Funeral Home.
