Homer Wade Eloph 1930-2026

WARREN -- Homer Wade Eloph, 96, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2026, at Heritage Manor.

He was born May 2, 1930, in Cleveland, a son of the late Charles and Carey Root Eloph.

Homer attended Leavittsburg High School but entered the Army before graduating. He served in the United States Army.

Homer worked many different jobs throughout his life: he was a lifeguard, owner and operator of Eloph Office Machine in New Castle, Pa., and a bus driver for Anderson Coach and Travel Tours. He enjoyed bowling, golfing and playing cards. Homer participated in the Senior Olympics Golf Team in Trumbull County. He was also a member of Cortland Moose Lodge, Warren DAV, and was a member of the former Copper Penny Masonic Lodge.

He is survived by his daughter, Vicki Lynne (Orval) Bragg of Vienna; son, Stuart Wade (Becky) Eloph of North Bloomfield; and grandsons, Scott Bragg, and Mason and Marshall Eloph.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Roy, Walter and Evelyn; longtime girlfriend, Evelyn Richetto; and a longtime furry companion, "Rusty the Cat."

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Heritage Manor for the wonderful care they gave to Homer.

In accordance with his wishes, there will be no public services.

Carl W. Hall Funeral Home is honored to assist with arrangements for cremation and burial of ashes and military honors at Sager Cemetery, Bristol Township.
