NILES -- Robert A. "Bob" Adler Sr., 61, of Niles, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Sept. 10, 2026, at home, surrounded by the love of family and friends.
Born Jan. 20, 1965, in Warren, Bob was the son of Lawrence and Betty Sue Fillian Adler.
A proud graduate of Niles McKinley High School, Class of 1985, he shined both on the football field and the baseball diamond. He was rooted in the Catholic faith and spent more than 30 years as a dedicated member of the Local 171 Carpenters Union, working for Robert D. Hughes Construction and later for Jack Gibson Construction.
Bob lived life with a deep appreciation for the outdoors. Whether he was fishing, hunting, four-wheeling, motorcycling or snowmobiling he found joy in every adventure. His passion for fishing led him across the country competing in Professional Walleye Circuit tournaments. He was also a proud member of the Huskie & Muskie Club and the Niles Frontliners Club.
A loyal Pittsburgh Steelers fan, Bob never missed a chance to cheer, "Are you ready for some Black and Gold?"
Bob leaves behind his loving wife, Keisha Bianco Adler, with whom he shared over 34 years of devotion and partnership; his son, Robert A. Adler Jr. of Niles; his mother, Betty Sue Adler, also of Niles; and his brother, Nicholas Adler of Tucson, Arizona. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and lifelong friends who will forever cherish his memory. His beloved dogs, Addie, Tracer and Thor, will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Adler, and his grandparents, John and Wilda Fillian and Hilda Adler.
Honoring Bob's wishes, there will be no calling hours. A celebration of life will be shared at a later date so that all who loved him may gather and remember the remarkable man he was.
Arrangements were entrusted to the Holloway-Williams Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 611 Robbins Ave., Niles, OH 44446.
