WARREN -- Frederick Allen Moore Sr., affectionately known as Fred, passed away peacefully on Monday, Sept. 21, 2026, at his home in Warren.
He was born on March 8, 1956, in Warren, Ohio, a son of the late Ernest and Mary F. Bush Moore Sr.
Fred was a proud graduate of Warren Western Reserve High School. He was known for his vibrant personality, infectious sense of humor and ability to bring life and laughter wherever he went. Fred was truly the life of the party, and one of his favorite sayings was, "Alright, alright!" Those who knew and loved him will forever remember his unique personality and the joy he brought to family and friends.
Fred enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. He loved watching television, especially "Cops," wrestling and soap operas. During the Christmas season, "Home Alone" was his favorite movie, and he never wanted to miss the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. He proudly supported his hometown sports teams, cheering for the Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Cavaliers. Fred was also a talented musician and had a special love for good food, fellowship and family gatherings. He affectionately called himself the "first ribologist," and his memorable invitation, "Come get greasy" with Fred," became part of the Fred Moore experience that his family and friends will always cherish.
Fred was baptized and was a member of Restoration Christian Fellowship Church. His faith was an important part of his life, and he cherished fellowship with others. Above all, Fred loved his family. His presence, laughter, personality and unforgettable sayings will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Fred leaves to cherish his memory longtime companion, Marvetta Wells of Ohio; three brothers, Eddie Lee Moore Sr., Albert L. Moore Sr. (Jackie) and William Earl Moore, all of Warren; one sister, Helen Andrews, also of Warren; seven kids, Marchella (Bobby) Stark of Ohio, Qiana Glover of Georgia, Frederick Moore Jr., Joey (Jennifer) Moore, Daitzel Moore, Amisha (Tyrese) Moore and Marshall Moore, all of Ohio; 22 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Sr. and Mary Francis Bush Moore; three sisters, Earnesteen M. Hurt, Luella "Minne" White, and Juanita Coleman; and four brothers, Sherman Moore Sr., Earnest Moore Jr., Harry James Moore Sr., and Jack Moore Sr.
Fred's family will receive friends at his home, 456 Highland Ave., Warren.
Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, 2026, at Second Baptist Church, Warren. Friends may call one hour before the service Saturday, at the church.
Interment will follow the funeral service.
