CHARDON -- Barbara Mullet, 74, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2026, in Concord, following a brave and courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Warren, Aug. 3, 1952, Barb, a lifelong Ohio resident, was raised in Nelson and graduated from James A. Garfield High School in Garrettsville. In 1982, she made Chardon her home, and it remained the place she cherished for the rest of her life.
For more than 40 years, Barb was a devoted real estate agent serving Chardon, and the surrounding communities. Her work was never just about houses -- it was about people. Over the decades, she built lasting friendships across many generations, welcoming families into new beginnings and becoming a trusted, familiar presence throughout the area.
Away from her work, Barb treasured time spent outdoors. She had a gift for gardening, a fondness for bird watching and an even greater love for the hours spent surrounded by friends and family. Those who knew her will remember her warmth, her kindness and the genuine care she gave to everyone she met.
Barb is survived by her loving husband, Crist Mullet; her daughter, Gina (Tara Chavez) Mullet of Chicago, Illinois; and her son, Justin Mullet of Concord Township. She also leaves behind her cherished grandsons, Kenny Mullet of Bend, Oregon, and Isaac Bentancourt of Chicago, Illinois. Barb is further survived by her sister, Mary Ellen (Fred) Baughman of Kirtland; her sister, Linda Pohto of Lexington, North Carolina; and her brother, Paul (Dianne) Pohto of Hiram.
She was preceded in death by her father, George Pohto; her mother, Mary Ellen Hovis; her son, Kenneth Mullet; her brothers, Robert Pohto and George Pohto; and her sister, Sue Pohto.
Family and friends are invited to gather in celebration of Barb's life.
Visitation will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 4, 2026, at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South Street, Chardon, OH 44024. Visitation will continue from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, 2026, with services following at the funeral home.
Interment will follow in Larned Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made, in Barb's name, to Reserve Care Hospice in Cleveland, www.reserve-care.org; or to Rescue Village in Novelty, www.rescuevillage.org -- causes reflecting the compassion and love she carried throughout her life.
Barb's memory will live on in the countless lives she touched, the friendships she nurtured, and the family she loved so dearly. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
