CORTLAND -- Ashley J. "AJ" Yakubek, 79, passed on Sunday, Aug. 30, 2026, in the Hospice House, Poland.
He was born on Oct. 27, 1946, in Warren, a son of Joe and Harriet Damon Yakubek.
AJ had been employed as a machinist at Glunt Industries.
He was a man of faith and an avid Cleveland Guardians fan. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Ashley is survived by his wife, Dolores, whom he married on May 25, 1990, in Winchester, Virginia; his children, George and Sara Yakubek, Melissa Jones, Bill Jones and Tina Ryan; his 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and his siblings, Gregory (Rose) Yakubek, Amy (Dave) Politsky, and Phylis Yakubek.
Preceding Ashley in death was his sister, Cathie Grimes.
A celebration of life will begin at 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 13, 2026, at the First Assembly Pentecost Church, 4363 Ohio 82, Newton Falls, OH 44444.
