Ann L. Sinclair 1943-2026

WARREN -- Ann Louise Sinclair, 83, of Warren, passed away peacefully on Tuesday evening, Sept. 8, 2026, at home, surrounded by her husband and daughter.

Ann was born March 3, 1943, in Warren, the daughter of Charles and Isabelle McFarland.

Ann started school at Garfield Elementary School and met her husband, John, in first grade. She graduated from Warren G. Harding High School in 1960 and from Mount Union College in 1964. She majored in education and taught second grade at Secrest and Laird Avenue elementary schools in Warren.

After starting her family, she taught 3- and 4-year-olds for 25 years at Howland Community Church Preschool.

She was an active member of the Howland Community Church choir, where she sang in the choir for 20 years. She also sang yearly in the Messiah Choir each Christmas season.

Her favorite hobbies were playing bridge and Mahjong. She played in the same bridge club for 45 years.

She and her husband, John, operated Sinclair Tours Inc. for 26 years with Anderson buses. She escorted at least six tours through the Rocky Mountains and to Nova Scotia.

She is survived by her husband, John Sinclair of Warren; daughter, Kelly Yasnowski of Warren; sister, Janet Wise of Columbus; and four granddaughters, Carrie Yasnowski of New Castle, Amy Yasnowski of Las Vegas, Molly Yasnowski of Cleveland and Lyla Yasnowski of Warren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles McFarland and Isabelle McFarland, and her brother, John McFarland.

Calling hours will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11, 2026, at the Howland United Methodist Church, 730 Howland Wilson Road NE, Warren, OH 44484. It will be followed by a funeral service at 7 p.m.

A private inurnment will be in H.U.M Church the following Monday, Sept. 14, 2026.

Arrangements were entrusted to the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home in Warren.

Contributions in Ann's memory can be made to their church, Howland United Methodist Church youth department.
