SANDUSKY -- Allen Jeffery Timko, 74, residing in Sandusky, passed away Friday, Sept. 4, 2026, at the Ohio Veterans Home.
Born March 27, 1952, in Warren, Allen was the second of seven children of the late Albert J. Timko Sr. and Pauline Petiya Timko.
Allen graduated from Leavittsburg High School in the 1970 class. After graduation, Allen enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps and served two tours of duty. He returned to Warren and worked as a linesman in cable TV and other jobs.
Allen had no children and is survived by his brothers, Albert (Jim), Timothy and Ronald; and sister, Louise Barbutes.
His sisters, Sheryl Polta and Paulette Probst, preceded him in death.
Late in life Allen became disabled and resided in the Ohio Veterans Home in Sandusky, until his recent death after surgery for heart and circulation problems. Allen will be buried in All Souls Cemetery in Bazetta Township after services in its chapel on Thursday, Sept. 10, 2026, at 1 p.m. Dress will be casual. Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory in Sandusky is assisting the family with arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army.
