MINERAL RIDGE -- Timothy J. LaRose, 75, of Mineral Ridge, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 25, 2026, the day of his 75th birthday.
Timothy was born on July 25, 1951, a son of the late John W. and Norma Houmiel LaRose.
He married the love of his life, the former Mary Sapienza, on Aug. 2, 1975, and together they shared nearly 51 years of love, laughter and devotion to their family.
Timothy earned his bachelor's degree in business from SUNY Brockport. He built a successful career in sales, beginning in the insurance industry before moving to newspaper ad sales. He was first at the Democrat and Chronicle of Rochester, New York, and then was an advertising director for the Tribune Chronicle. Later, he was in sales for First Communications and Zone Publishing. He was known for his integrity in business, his wry sense of humor and his ability to connect with people from all walks of life.
He served his country in the United States Army Reserve.
A devoted family man, Timothy found his greatest joy in spending time with those he loved. He was an avid golfer who enjoyed playing in tournaments and watching the sport on television, especially the Masters Tournament each spring. He treasured trips home to the St. Lawrence River, a source of fond memories. Timothy was also a passionate sports fan who faithfully cheered for the New York Yankees and the Buffalo Bills.
He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Mary Sapienza LaRose; his son, John (Seline) LaRose of Singapore; his daughter, Katie LaRose of South Carolina; and his estranged granddaughter, Lucianna Payne.
In addition to his parents, Timothy was preceded in death by his daughter, Ann-Marie LaRose, and his brother, Thomas E. LaRose Sr.
In keeping with Timothy's wishes, no services will take place.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, in memory of Timothy J. LaRose.
