Sandra Lightner 1941-2026

WARREN - Sandra Haught Lightner, 85, of Warren, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 23, 2026, at her home.

She was born June 13, 1941, in Follansbee, W.Va., a daughter of the late Helen Kovacs Haught Waldron.

Sandra attended Newton Falls High School and retired from Packard Electric after 30 years of service.

She enjoyed watching her favorite sports teams, the Ohio State Buckeyes; West Virginia Mountaineers; Boston Celtics; and the Cleveland Browns, Indians and Cavaliers. Sandra loved a good game of Canasta with family and friends.

Much of GG's retired time was devoted to babysitting grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a true animal lover and extremely compassionate to all of God's creatures. Her best quality was the ability to see the beauty in the everyday world around her. Think of Sandra when you see a daisy, her favorite flower.

Surviving are two children: Barbara Noble and Michael (Erica) Lightner; stepchildren Jason and Julie Lightner; eight grandchildren, Bradley (Pathy) Noble, Alexis Noble, Connor, Charlotte, Jack, Mia, Benjamin and Amara Lightner; along with a great-granddaughter, Italia Vaccaro; great-grandsons, Vincent, Liam and Jair Noble. Also surviving are two sisters, Helen (Tom) Ditchey and Sarah Wujick; brother-in-law, Nick Fernandez; and former husband, Tate Lightner.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her sister, Nancy Fernandez; and brother-in-law, Andrew Wujick.

There are no calling hours or services planned.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.
